If your family members aren't seeing the Pro features, don't worry! Family Sharing is managed entirely by Apple, but there are a few common settings that need to be exactly right for it to work.
1. Verify Your Subscription Type
Not every one sec subscription is eligible for Family Sharing. Apple only allows sharing for specific "Family" tiers.
Eligible plans:
one sec pro – Annual Family Plan
one sec pro – Lifetime Family Plan
How to check your plan:
Open iOS Settings → Tap your name at the top.
Tap Subscriptions.
Locate your one sec subscription and look for the toggle "Share with Family".
If this option is missing: Your current plan does not support Family Sharing. You may need to upgrade to a Family Plan to share it.
2. Check your Family Sharing Setup
If you have the correct plan but it’s still not working, check these system requirements:
Purchase Sharing must be ON: Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Family Sharing → Purchase Sharing → Ensure "Share Purchases with Family" is enabled.
Apple IDs must match: The person who bought the subscription must use the same Apple ID for both iCloud and "Media & Purchases".
Region Match: All family members must have their Apple IDs set to the same country or region. Apple does not allow cross-border family sharing.
iOS Version: Ensure everyone is on iOS 14 or later, as older versions do not support in-app subscription sharing.
3. Update one sec
Sometimes a simple version mismatch prevents the "Pro" status from syncing.
Ensure everyone in the family group has the latest version of one sec installed from the App Store.
Restart the devices after updating.
In one sec, try tapping "Restore Purchases" on the Pro upgrade screen if the features don't unlock automatically.
4. Still not working?
Since Family Sharing is a system-level feature of iOS, one sec developers cannot see or fix issues with your Apple ID group. If the steps above didn't help, Apple’s specialized support team is the best point of contact.
