the introduction of a password lock feature that would require a password each time I want to alter the settings.

Hi,

I really like your extension and use it all the time, but I tend to misuse it quite a bit. For example, I often find myself mindlessly searching on Google, so to reduce that, I set a 1-minute delay using your extension. However, after a few hours, I end up opening the dashboard and changing it back to the minimum time allowed. This has been happening frequently.

I would like to request the introduction of a password lock feature that would require a password each time I want to alter the settings. If that’s not feasible, perhaps you could implement a time block feature, allowing users to set a duration during which they cannot change the settings—similar to a countdown timer.

I hope the team considers these suggestions. Thank you!

One use case if having your partner or friend set up the password, so you literally cannot change the settings without convincing them you need to.

Feature Request: Password/Face ID Lock for the one sec App Itself

    Hello,

I am a regular user of one sec and really appreciate its features for helping with smartphone addiction.

However, sometimes I find myself impulsively opening the one sec app itself and turning off its functions or changing its settings.

Therefore, I would like to request a feature that allows users to lock the one sec app itself with a passcode or Face ID.

I believe this would make the app even more effective for self-control and reducing impulsive behavior.

Thank you very much for considering my request.

I agree, my wife and I first tried other applications similar to one sec and each of used to choose a secret password for the other one. So we had to ask each other to put the password in every time we wanted to “cheat” on our resolutions, wich made it more difficult.

I think it would really improve the experience to have a password lock in one sec

Another way would be to set a timeout to enter the settings, e.g. you’d have to wait +1 minute. I find that this is often enough for you to abandon the initiative to alter the settings unless it’s something really important.

But how did you add intervention to the settings page in the first place

On the settings page, you only set up it once and then every time you want to enter settings there's a timeout. Other competitors have this feature

There’s a setting called “Lock one sec settings“ that does exactly that! But I agree it could be improved :)
