Close "Hide Distracting Items" loophole in Safari

It is currently very easy to bypass blocks (even strict blocks) in Safari using the native “Hide distracting items” feature. The whole block overlay can be disabled with one click, and this seems to remain disabled even in new sessions on the particular site. This needs patching urgently and it basically makes the whole extension futile (unless somehow the hide distracting items feature can itself be blocked).
