Starting with iOS 26, Apple changed how screenshots are handled. The new full-screen editor launches as a separate process, which temporarily sends your current app into the background.

When you close the screenshot editor and return to your app, iOS treats it as a "new" app opening—triggering one sec again.

We have two solutions to fix this behavior:

Solution 1: Disable Full-Screen Screenshot Previews

You can revert to the classic behavior (pre-iOS 26), where screenshots don’t take over the entire screen. This keeps your target app in the foreground.

  1. Open iOS Settings.

  2. Go to GeneralScreen Capture.

  3. Turn off Full-Screen Screenshot Editor.

Solution 2: Enable "Intentional App Switching"

If you prefer the new screenshot editor, you can use the Intentional App Switching feature within one sec. This adds a small "grace period" so that quick back-and-forth actions (like editing a screenshot or copying a 2FA code) don't trigger a new intervention.

  1. Open one sec.

  2. Go to CustomizeIntentional App Switching.

  3. Enable the feature and set a short time interval (e.g., 15–30 seconds).

Our Recommendation

We highly suggest using both! Disabling the full-screen editor keeps the flow smooth, and Intentional App Switching is a "must-have" feature anyway to prevent one sec from becoming annoying during fast app-tasks.
