[Intention Tracking for Android/Browser/MacOS] One Sec, One Question: Why Are You Opening This App?
Before launching an app like Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, etc.,
prompt the user with one simple, unavoidable question:
š āWhatās your intention right now?ā
And make the user type it out manually.
"Iām opening YouTube to watch a specific tutorial."
"I want to check one DM on Instagram."
"I'm just bored and looking to escape." ā even this is valuable awareness.
I genuinely believe this small tweak could help a lot of people (myself included) reclaim their attention.

Bring Intention Tracking to Browser Extension
First of all, I will never thank you guys enough for helping me try and cure my phone and computer addiction but I would have liked if you guys could port the tracking of intentions that is availables on phone to the PC extension cause for me, itās harder to not doom scroll and not lie to myself when Iām browsing on youtube for example.

PLEASE BRING INTENTION TRACKING FOR ANDROID ASAP
The whole reason I got the pro version was so that I can use the intention tracking. Without it, it doesn't really help me a lot. Please bring it ASAP. Or let us know how long it's gonna take.

This would be a great feature. I'm pretty sure I've seen an app that does this exact thing only, but lacks all the other features that one sec has.
I fully agree that if you have to type an answer, even though of course you can technically cheat by tapping random characters, just the act of thinking about it might make you realize that your reason is not good enough. Maybe you're opening Twitter because of FOMO and not for a healthy reason.

On iOS you can have this already, in two different ways:
ā¢ Not as an alone standing intervention, but as additional feature called Intention Tracking: Just open one sec > customize > Intention Tracking > Always Type Intention
ā¢ We also have an LLM intervention (conversational reflection), which is not only a cheat lock for typing random characters, but should also do the trick.

Hi Anna, we are working continuously on reaching feature parity, but please acknowledge that this will take more time!
one sec for Android was developed a whole one year after one sec for iOS. So there is a whole year of development, we need to catch up to!
Also developing for Android brings a lot of new challenges in comparison to iOS, since there are a lot more devices and different AndroidOS versions (basically each companies like Samsung, Xiaomi, Poco, Google, etc. has their own version of it with different background settings and mechanics we need to adjust to). We still want to make one sec work on each device ā but it takes a lot of investigative and development work.
At the same time, we are still a small indie company ā and with it a handful of people working on this. We do our best, but our resources are limited.

tl;dr: In terms of development, Android is already year behind iOS, also more complicated to develop ā and our capacities as indie company are limited. Still we want to reach feature equality as soon as possible.
If you want to see what we are working on right now, here is the link for the Roadmap for Android. The next big update will bring the block feature to Android. But of course we want to implement all of the features with time!
