Allow Controlled Access to Scrollable Videos with Intervention
I’d like to offer some feedback regarding the “Remove In-App Distractions” feature, particularly the blocking of scrollable video content (like YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, etc.). While this function is powerful and highly useful, I believe its current implementation is too restrictive in some cases. There are times when I need to watch a specific short video on YouTube for a legitimate reason, but when the “scrollable videos” setting is enabled, it blocks access entirely. As a result, I find myself toggling this setting off and on — which eventually led me to stop using it altogether. Instead of a complete block, I would like to suggest a more flexible approach: Why not trigger an intervention specifically when the user enters the Shorts section, similar to how other app interventions work? For example, when I tap on YouTube Shorts, One Sec could show an intervention screen just for that section. This would prevent mindless scrolling, while still allowing access to one or two short videos if needed. You could also implement additional limits, such as: A time-based limit (e.g. 2 minutes of Shorts viewing), Or a per-session cap on how many Shorts can be watched (e.g. 3 videos before blocking further scrolling). I truly believe this would be a meaningful improvement, especially given how addictive short-form video content can be. With a more controlled and flexible system, users could engage with this content mindfully — rather than having to choose between full access or none at all.
android browser extensions
very helpful app but it seems like without any available browser extension on my phone, a lot of its potential power is lost. i had a decent run after using one sec to be mindful about game apps and streaming, but it wasn't practical to brock all of firefox, and due to all the distractions I could find on the web, i had a major relapse. is an android-compatible extension for Firefox or Chrome sitting on your roadmap somewhere? as of Sept 2025 i don't see any on your feedback board. this would be an enormous value-add, I'm sure it's a big undertaking but i hope you can slot it in somehow.
Duration selection not displayed properly in landscape orientation
The selection wheel doesn't display or interact properly when the phone is in landscape mode. Turning the phone back to portrait is a solution, but its a bit annoying.
[Android] Stats and Graphs like on iOS
The graphics and stats that you display in iOS app should also be added for Android users. Especially the chart where you compare number of openings per week when I first started using One-Sec vs. number of openings as on date. [title edited by admin]
Wider Re-Intervention Options?
Both on Android and desktop, max re-intervention can only go as low as 15 minutes. This doesn’t feel annoying enough, and given how I’m usually gonna choose the max anyway, I would love it if the max re-intervention could be set as low as 3 or even 1 minute!
Customize Remove In-App Distractions [Android]
User wish to customize the strictness of the feature: Within the In-App Distractions feature, it would be helpful to have an option that allows either a one-time view or a limited viewing duration (for example, a few minutes), so users can better control their usage. At the moment, my only option is to disable the feature entirely and view Stories once a day.
Intervention waits for next scroll
I'd love to have a way to activate that onesec waits for a swipe after the time is up. At the moment I'm mostly in the middle of an "interesting"/addicting reel and when the intervention starts I go back to Instagram (in this case) and continue watching. If it would shut down on the next swipe down I think I would be way faster to just leave the app completely.
Preset/Quick Block Templates
I understand that you can schedule blocks, but I think it would be great to have some preset blocks, possibly as a widget as well as in the app. They should be user created and shown on the widget with emojis (of course). A “study” preset block could be a great, quick way to focus and block what you need, instead of having to select the apps/websites every time your previous block was different
Lock App Settings for Android
Just like on iOS, it would be helpful to be able to lock an app’s settings with a timer or intervention to prevent the settings from being deactivated without warning. [Explanation for the Edit in the Comments below] Original Post: Some suggestions for the Android app First, I want to congratulate you on your app—it’s wonderful. I’d like to offer some suggestions for the Android app, since the iOS version has many more features. It would be helpful to be able to lock an app’s settings with a timer to prevent the settings from being deactivated without warning. In other words, if I want to change something in the settings to access Instagram, I should have to wait—for example, 3 minutes—before I can make any changes. It would also be helpful to be able to temporarily block the app, for example: Instagram can’t be used from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., no matter how much you want to. And it would also be nice to be able to choose the exact time in seconds or minutes to open an app. I hope my suggestions are useful to you. Best regards to the team, and thank you very much for how well the app works.
Reading time
Hello I read too much. I’m finding One-Sec extremely useful for keeping me off social media sites, so I’ve installed it on my Boox (Android e-reader). 1) it’s not picking up the Kindle and Kobo apps although they were installed from Google Play 2) is there a way to configure the re-intervention time? I’d like to give myself longer when reading - say an hour. Many thanks

[Intention Tracking for Android/Browser/MacOS] One Sec, One Question: Why Are You Opening This App?
Before launching an app like Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, etc., prompt the user with one simple, unavoidable question: 👉 “What’s your intention right now?” And make the user type it out manually. "I’m opening YouTube to watch a specific tutorial." "I want to check one DM on Instagram." "I'm just bored and looking to escape." ← even this is valuable awareness. I genuinely believe this small tweak could help a lot of people (myself included) reclaim their attention. [Edit by admin: • Edited platforms, since the feature Intention Tracking is already on iOS. • Edited title for continuity in feature description. OT: One Sec, One Question: Why Are You Opening This App?]
[Android] Journaling Intervention
Loving the app, it’s great to have a reminder of what I’m doing. Love the browser extension too, with the type random text function. Would be great to also have the journaling option in android
[Android] Random Text Intervention
The random text entry is the only intervention that works for me on the desktop app - I’d really love to see that in the Android app too! Thanks.
[Android] Structured Integration
We will bring the integration of the Structured planner app with one sec also to Android, to be able to block distracting apps during active tasks until they are completed and see your upcoming schedule in Healthy Alternatives.
[Android] 4-7-8 Breathwork Intervention
We are planning on bringing the 4-7-8 Breathwork Intervention from iOS also to Android.
[Android] Box Breathing Intervention
We are planning on bringing the Box Breathing Intervention from iOS also to Android.
breath modification
can choose number of breaths and length of breath. so that a long breath can be 2 medium breaths to regulate
Time slider stuck at 1 min in Edge on Android
I am using the one sec browser extension in Edge on Android since it can run extensions from the Microsoft store. It mostly works very nice, but after the intervention time, a slider appears to set the allowed time, but the slider always stays at 1 minute and cannot be changed by either sliding or tapping. A fix would be very nice :-) As a cherry on top, it would be fabulous if the configuration page has a mobile layout to make the process easier.
Challenges with one sec App Availability in Mainland China
Hello one sec Team, one sec is a very useful app, but it cannot be downloaded from mobile app stores in mainland China (such as Vivo, OPPO, Honor, Huawei, etc.). Moreover, since domestic smartphones in mainland China do not support Google services, even obtaining the app’s installation package does not make it usable. I hope the app can be listed on app stores in mainland China through distributors or other means.

Healthy Alternatives on Android
Having this option on Android would be extremely helpful for shifting my attention to healthier alternatives
Feature equality on Android

Bring Delayed Interventions to Android
https://tutorials.one-sec.app/en/articles/3974530 Original Title: Deactivate breathing exercise altogether to use only re-intervention I do not have a problem with unintentional app opening or switching, rather I mainly want to use the re-intervention to have a stopping cue. It’s so annoying when I want to show somebody something on an app and I always have to go through the breathing exercise (which even in its shortest duration is too long for me), which leads me to deactivating OneSec altogether.
Onesec for Xiaomi
It's been over a year since the app was released, yet compatibility for Xiaomi/Redmi devices is still missing. I've had this app on my phone for months, waiting for Xiaomi compatibility — but it's still not here. Please consider implementing this soon.
Average Time Between Sessions
What I want Add a new statistic showing the average time between sessions for apps with an intervention enabled. A session would be each time the user opens an app and triggers the intervention. Re-interventions during the same usage period should not count as a new session. Example If I open an app at 10:00, 12:00, 15:00 and 19:00, One Sec could show: “Average time between sessions: 3h” General benefits: Shows how frequently I feel the urge to open an app, not just how much time I spend on it. Makes it possible to notice improvements even when total usage time doesn't decrease. Helps visualize longer periods spent away from an app. Provides a simple indicator of habit change over time. This feedback was summarized and organized with the help of AI.

Short-Form Content Block
I would love to have the option to block Instagram/Facebook reels, YouTube shorts and similar content- they’re my biggest time waster
scheduled block for android
I really like One Sec while I'm at work but I don't want it running on the weekend. I noticed IOS has a scheduled block feature. Can this be added to Android as well please?
Easier way to move time wheel on re-intervention ui
I find it very frustrating to set a time in the re-intervention UI, because i have to perfectly slide my finger on the circle given. If i slightly miss it, the selection cancels. Im on android btw so idk if thats the same problem with IOS. Maybe invent a tap mode so you can tap on the circle where the selection should be in the end. Thanks :) If you dont know what i meant, heres a picture
[Android] Total App Blocking
Android is leveling up! ⚡ Our next big update introduces App Blocking: start a session to completely prevent selected apps from opening, helping you stay locked in and distraction-free.
[Android] Adult Content Detox
Several users got in touch about adding this feature on Android. The Adult Content Detox feature blocks porn across all web browsers and web views on your device – up to now just on iOS. Android users also want to create a healthier relationship with your phone, and this is yet another step in this direction. It would be nice to have this on Android, especially with the possibility to lock yourself out of changing that back.
Links to social media posts being lost
If I am following a link to a specific post to Facebook or instagram (apps on Android), or app notification to an instagram message, it seems that when one sec shows when entering the app this link is lost and I'm left with something generic leading me down the doom scroll path and forgetting I'm there for a specific reason(sometimes until the intervention). If I follow a specific link going in to an app, can you re-trigger it at least for the first app-opening intervention so I go where I intended? Perhaps even after each intervention to remind me why I'm there.
Android - The Breathing Interruption Doesn't show
I have the Pro vesion. And on android, it only asks me if i want to continue to the app - it doesn’t really do the breathing exercise interruption.
