Mac Os Centralized App Control for Browser Extensions

macOS app that centralizes all blocking and content-control settings, so users don’t have to configure each browser extension separately. The app could also sync with the iOS version for example, Manual blocks on iPhone should apply to Mac automatically. Include an option to disable syncing for users who prefer independent settings.

Intervention doesn't run on websites if streaming a video in full screen

I am having when I start an intervention and pick the duration on a streaming website such as Prime Video or BBC iPlayer, then I choose my show and click button on the video to make it fill the page, turning the video full screen (this is not the green top left button that makes Mac browsers full screen, I am specifically talking about any full screen video button that fills the entire screen on any streaming website). Like this: The problem is that the intervention will never play on that full screen, unless I click the button shown above on the video to minimise it. Meaning I can watch a 3-hour movie and not get an intervention despite setting it for 30 mins duration. Can this possibly be fixed, or is that not possible?

I would love to have the option to block Instagram/Facebook reels, YouTube shorts and similar content- they’re my biggest time waster

Preset/Quick Block Templates

I understand that you can schedule blocks, but I think it would be great to have some preset blocks, possibly as a widget as well as in the app. They should be user created and shown on the widget with emojis (of course). A “study” preset block could be a great, quick way to focus and block what you need, instead of having to select the apps/websites every time your previous block was different

Make re-checks incrementally longer

To make it harder and harder to keep extending your time on an app after re-checking in, the delay to re-open the app should get incrementally longer (or at least make it an option to do so). For instance, the first re-check takes 10s, then the next one is 20s, next one is 40s, next one is 80s, and so on…

[MacOS] Block Sessions

Make block sessions come to MacOS, so we can intentionally decide to block apps and websites for a specific amount of time. Also a widget could be nice.

[MacOS] Interruption Scheduling /Intervention Scheduling

Users should be able to Schedule their Interruptions on MacOS just like on iOS.

Your Intention Choice = Time You Get

It would be pretty cool if, based on the intention you chose (obviously one of the customized ones you made) decided how much time you get. For example, on the Mail App, choosing the intention you made to check your email would only give you 1-2 minutes so you are forced to actually stay on track vs. just clicking that and getting 10 minutes.

one sec Journal 🤝 iOS/iPadOS Journal App

It would be great if my journal entries connected/added to my iOS Journal app. It would also help if choosing an emotion on the journal prompt meant that your journal on the iOS journal app knew what you felt and logged that on Health. I know I didn’t explain that very well… let me know what I need to clarify

”Conversational Reflection” - Too Easy

Hi! Talking to the one sec polar bear is helpful… but it doesn’t always help. You can tell it whatever you want, and eventually you can just enter the app on your own. I am proposing that it asks why you are opening it and judges whether you should enter the app based on if you have a good reason. For example: You could tell it that you are at work and are on break, and it would only approve 5 minutes (or a different amount of time based on a selected level) of using the blocked app before not letting you even try an intervention for maybe an hour.

MacOS app

I have been using the one sec safari extension and it has been great. However, I think it would be more useful if there is an app similar to how it is on the iPhone that can manage more details. So that there can be strict blocks, app and website time limits and blocks. So that basically all the features on the iPhone app are available on a MacOS app that.

Extension disables Shortcuts on Slack Web in Arc

I tried the Browser Extension for 2 weeks now. At first it worked everything fine. Now the App doesn’t block the URL anymore (its a slack.com/client url which does not change) and if its blocked, it disables kind of all Slack Shortcuts. Not working anymore: Enter doesn’t send a message anymore (it’s making a linebreak) CMD+K etc. is not working Keyboard Selection is not working anymore What i tried: Clear Application Storage of the page (cache, cookies, sessions) → not fixing Disable the Extension → works Thats why i think it’s the Browser Extension which causes the error. I’m on the latest Arc/Chrome Build. There are no console errors visible.

MacOS app features are different to the browser extension which can be confusing

Hi! So I’ve noticed that some things are different on the app and website - and as I am using some websites as Chrome apps saved to my Mac dock, the browser extension doesn’t always work as it thinks the website is an app when I am using it in full screen. Therefore, I am choosing to use the Mac app and add the Chrome apps as apps, which is fine. However, some features are missing from the app, which are available on the browser extension and are quite straightforward. On the browser extension, the exercise duration is: Quick - 3 sec Medium - 6 sec Regular - 10 sec Long - 20 sec Extreme - 40 sec Ultra - 60 sec However, on the app, it looks like this: There is a bug where the Maximum Re-Interruption Time Interval on the app does not let me click “No Limit“. If I click that option, it automatically changes it back to 30 minutes. I can select every option except the “No Limit“, so not sure why this is happening. It would also be amazing if we could choose 1 hour, 2 hours, or 3 hours, too. Because if I am watching a movie with a friend, I’d like to open it for 1/2/3 hours, then have it interrupt instead of having to pick between 45 mins or no limit at all. On the browser extension, in the Intervention Options section, there is a choice to close the tab on intervention exit. It would be great if there were an option to close an app on intervention exit, too. Also, the browser extension lets you keep the Intentional website switching box empty, essentially disabling that feature and allowing you to leave the website as many times as you want. On the app however, there is no option to disable this, and I am forced to pick a duration with 5 mins being the longest - on the browser extension, it’s 10 mins. It would be great if the options matched between the browser extension and the app, but also if there is an option to just not select intentional app switching if not wanted.

Chromium Extension Crashes And Causes Browser Freeze On Opening X

On Brave, if I attempt to open X/Twitter with the extension enabled, the entire browser freezes and then crashes. I am on Brave 1.88.134 with Chromium version 146.0.7680.153. I tried removing and adding X back, still no help. I'm on macOS if that's relevant. Note: This started as a thread on the Chrome Web Store review page.

let there be an option to have no dock icon

since it lives in the background and/or menu bar, i’d like to be able to not have the icon in the dock, I don’t need to have it and it clutters things.
